Peer Review Process
The Journal of Learner-Centered Curriculum and Instruction (LBCIJ) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of peer review and academic integrity. All submissions to the journal undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process.
Steps of the Peer Review Process:
- Initial Check: Upon submission, the editorial team checks the manuscript for compliance with the journal's scope and basic formatting requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the authors without further review.
- Plagiarism Check: All manuscripts that pass the initial check are screened for plagiarism using appropriate software.
- Assignment to Reviewers: The editor-in-chief assigns the manuscript to at least two independent experts in the field for double-blind peer review.
- Double-Blind Review: Both the reviewers and the authors are kept anonymous. Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, significance, methodology, clarity, and relevance to the journal's scope.
- Decision: The editor-in-chief makes a decision based on the reviewers' recommendations. The possible decisions are:
- Accept with minor revisions
- Accept after major revisions
- Revision: If revisions are required, authors are given a specified time to revise and resubmit their manuscript. The revised version may be sent back to the reviewers for further evaluation.
- Final Decision: The final decision on acceptance or rejection is made by the editor-in-chief.
The entire process, from submission to final decision, is managed through the journal's online system. We strive to complete the peer review process within 8-12 weeks.
